FEATURED PROJECTS:
The house is on a tapered corner lot bounded by a village street at the north and a pocket park across at the east. The design takes a language of deep square frames shifting sideways towards the diagonal property line along the front. The square frames are orientated opening towards the green space at the east while covering the interior spaces from the village street at north. A feature 'steel & timber' staircase with a glass skylight above pierces through the center of the house, bringing in more natural light and passive cooling breeze into the inner spaces at every floor level.
The building facade comprises of windows, balconies and AC ledges intentionally blurred by layering a series of horizontal stripes throughout the facade. These stripes generate horizontal visual movement across the building and emphasize the "shifting and stacked" nature of the different volumes. The project blurs the boundaries between the predictable commercial space and the gritty industrial space, creating instead a hybrid space, which offers an exciting alternative for the creative workplace in the 21st century.
Stack House is a multi-generation family dwelling. It has 2 residential units stacked right above the other. This arrangement thus departs from the usual duplex units that are attached from the side. Each dwelling unit comprises its own living area, dining area, kitchen and bathrooms. The bamboo garden at the rear and the roof deck above is flexible to function as a common service or a lounging space where the family can connect.

CHINA
Designed as a permanent show gallery and tourist information center for China’s largest developer Vanke, this dramatic design for the Triple V gallery has become an icon along the Dong Jiang Bay coastline. Despite its obvious sculptural qualities, the building’s DNA evolved rationally from a careful analysis of key contextual & programmatic perimeters – resulting in the TRIPLE V GALLERY’S triangulated floor plan as well as the 3 soaring edges that have come to define its form.
